Summer 2023 certainly… did happen.
Sure, there was some sunshine and even heatwaves between the long bouts of rain and unseasonable chills this summer.
But it sadly already feels like a distant memory now that Virgo season is hitting.
The final nail in the coffin? Greggs is already dropping its pumpkin spice lattes, costing (from £2.40) for 2023 on Thursday 24 August.
The brand’s autumn hot drink line-up will be hitting branches nationwide, along with the new Hazelnut Mocha (£2.40) and the Hazelnut Hot Chocolate (£2.40).
But for the last warm days we’ve got left this year, at least there will be an iced version of the pumpkin spice beverage (£2.85) available for the first time from select stores.

For context, Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte didn’t come back to UK stores until Thursday, September 1 last year, and the brand has yet to share this year’s drop date.
It also happens to be the 20th anniversary of the iconic beverage’s invention this year – maybe that has something to do with the early drop?
Either way, let’s hope Starbucks has something extra special planned to mark the occasion this year…
